About Hugh MacMillan

Hugh MacMillan holds a B.A. in Psychology and a Bachelor of Social Work from McMaster University, as well as a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Manitoba. He also has a Certificate in Advanced Social Work Practice from the University of Manitoba.

Like all Social Workers in the province of Ontario, Hugh is registered under provincial legislation. Social workers are bound to uphold a strict code of ethics that is subject to scrutiny by a regulatory body, The Ontario College of Social Workers. Hugh is also a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Social Workers and is fully insured.

Continued education and training is an ongoing process, and Hugh has advanced training in narrative therapy, custody/access assessment, trauma work and cognitive therapy. He has worked in a variety of mental health settings in Ontario, prior to working full time in private practice.
