Welcome

Greetings everyone and welcome to my website! It has been one year since the website was established and the response has been terrific.  I get inquiries from all over and positive responses to some of the writing here.  Best of all, the site has become a convenient way to inform people about what to expect from the counselling process.  When "telephone inquiries" are directed to this site, most questions get answered, allowing people to feel more comfortable coming in for that initial visit.

Over the past year I have had the good fortune to receive more narrative therapy training which I have been applying to couples work with good results.  Coming up I have the good fortune of spending another full week of training with Australian narrative guru Michael White.  I'm sure looking forward to that. 

Couples counselling is now consuming about 50% of my practice and it never ceases to amazes me how hard couples work in resolving their issues and strengthening their relationships, even very damaged relationships!  We ran our first couples group therapy in the winter and received very positive feedback from participants.  We were not able to find good models for this kind of adventure so we think, though probably not true, that we created a very unique program.  If I can talk my co-facilitator into a encore presentation, we will try to re-mount the program this winter.  I am posting the flyer from last year in the resources section of this site, for your information.

If you have come across readings or other learning opportunities in your professional or personal work, I would surely like to hear about that, and I will gladly post interesting material. Many of the people who have consulted with me over the years have shared such information, to my great benefit.
